Schedule: Thursdays, 10am - 12 pm
Description
This course is intended to build a basic to intermediate level of proficiency with Vectorworks for theatrical use. Students will come out of this class comfortable with drafting 2D plans, sections, elevations and specialized plots to communicate theatrical design ideas and how to organize this documents for printing and distribution. Students will also be introduced to the creation of 3D objects and rendering.
Students are also invited to Join the Vectorworks Lab in the evenings to delve deeper into more advanced uses of the program.
Methodology
Stating with best practices in drafting, we will develop a package of drafting for a theatrical production from start to finish as to work through all aspects of creating effective technical documents for theatrical design.

Late Assignments Policies
- Assignments are due as listed by the end of class.
- Assignments, including late assignments, are accepted until the next assignment is due, after which the first assignment will no longer be accepted
- After the class in which the assignment is due is over, the assignment is considered late
- Late assignments receive reduced grades
- Every additional week an assignment is late from original due date results in an additional grade level reduction
